Grant for Evacuees from Kibbutz Be’eri

7.3.24

In response to the profound impact of the events of October 7, the Peretz Naftali Foundation provided support to evacuees from Kibbutz Be’eri, one of the communities most deeply affected by the attacks and their aftermath.

The initiative reflected the Foundation’s commitment to solidarity, mutual responsibility, and supporting communities during times of exceptional crisis. Beyond immediate needs, displacement creates profound social and personal challenges, making community support and a sense of stability especially important during periods of uncertainty.

While the Foundation’s ongoing work focuses on promoting social justice, democratic values, workers’ rights, and cooperation, these principles also carry a responsibility to act when communities face extraordinary circumstances. Through its support for the evacuees of Kibbutz Be’eri, the Foundation sought to contribute to the broader collective effort to strengthen resilience, preserve community connections, and stand alongside those facing the long process of recovery and rebuilding.
