Gershon Gelman
CEO
Director of the Human Resources Management Division of the General Histadrut. Chairman of the Tel Aviv-Jaffa Region of the Histadrut for eight terms. 2023 onwards Chairman of the International Relations Division of the Histadrut. Served for 23 years as a member of the Histadrut leadership. He founded in 2002 the Hotline for the treatment and assistance of migrant workers and the protection of their status, rights and working conditions.
Stefan Körzell
Member of the Board
Stefan Körzell is a member of the executive board of the German Federation of Trade Unions. Mr. Körzell is a member, partly chairman, of various supervisory boards and committees and
board of trustees.
After many years of working in a company within the metal industry, he began full-time union activities in the early 1990s. He was a member of the Commission on Growth, Structural Change and Employment.
Bernhard Schulz

Bernhard Schulz, born 61, works for DGB – German Confederation of Trade Unions nearly all his life. Starting as a youth officer he practices many different jobs within DGB.
Between 2019 and 2022 he served as the attaché for social and labour market affairs in the German Embassy to Israel. His first visit to Israel was in 1992 and many more followed.
Since 2023 member of the Fritz-Naphtali-Foundation’s board.
Michael Guggemos

Michael Guggemos has served as Managing Director of the Hans Böckler Foundation in Düsseldorf since 2014 and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Fritz Naphtali Foundation. Earlier in his career, he chaired the Jusos, the youth organization of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD), and headed the IG Metall Capital Office in Berlin. Since 2008, he has coordinated executive responsibilities within the IG Metall executive board in Frankfurt. Guggemos holds degrees in cultural studies, political science, and economics from the University of Tübingen.
Gil Elmelech

CPA Gil Elmelech, formerly served as a financial administration accountant and as VP of Finance and Administration at the Tel Aviv Educational and Cultural Institutions Company. He serves as an external director of training funds and company provident funds. graduate of economics and management studies at Ben-Gurion University in the City of Jerusalem, a graduate of accounting studies at Tel Aviv University, and a master’s degree in business administration.
Ofir Elkala’i

Adv. Ofir Elkala’i, Chairman of the Histadrut State Employees’ Union and former CEO of the Histadrut, is a prominent figure in Israel’s organized labor movement. Holding an LL.B. in Law and an M.A. in Public Policy, he served as a combat soldier in the elite Sayeret Shaldag unit and resides in Kibbutz Harel. Over two decades within the Histadrut, he has held senior management roles – including CEO of the Maof Division, CEO of the Professional Advancement
Ralf Richter

Ralf Richter leads the Scholarships Division of the Hans Böckler Stiftung in Düsseldorf, overseeing funding for students, doctoral candidates, and young professionals in labor, social research, and co-determination. Under his leadership, HBS has launched innovative programs for vocational trainees and dual-education participants, promoting participation, social justice, and democratic rights at work. He has also contributed to publications on the future of work, digitalization, and labor participation (Mitbestimmung).
